12. Go shopping once a week

If you go shopping every day you usually spend a lot of time, energy, fuel and money. If you change you shopping habits you could save fuel and reduce pollution… but you should make a perfect shopping plan with all things to buy.

Impact: reduce fuel consumption, reduce pollution

11. Use your bicycle instead of a car

When traveling short distances it is recommended to use a bicycle instead of a car. Cold engine uses more fuel than warmed up engine, therefore your car uses more fuel when making just few kilometers or miles. It is better to use a bicycle and it’s also healthy for you.

Impact: reduce fuel consumption, reduce pollution, save money

10. Ventilating rooms through windows

Using air conditioning devices for cooling air in rooms could be expensive and polluting. Air conditioning devices use a lot of energy and therefore they indirectly produce CO2 and other pollution (in power plants where electricity is produced). If it is possible try to cool down and ventilate rooms through windows in the evening or in the morning when outside air is cooler and fresh.
